The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The Isle of Skye has a magical feel. I was able to catch it on a sunny day and capture the blue and turquoise water. In duplicating the mirror image, I've created interesting fairylike creatures.

Whether painting a person or a teapot, the goal is holding the viewer's attention. In this busy world it takes something remarkable to stop us in our tracks. That could be an event, like a surprising diagnosis or the unexpected death of a close friend. These events give us time to pause and reflect. A common vehicle into my psyche is music. This led me to start painting singer-songwriters whose music has impacted me. Look into their eyes. For a moment time stops. Music and memories take over.
