Artist's Description
This place sure holds a lot of great memories. Like when my son was in grade school and I'd have the Jeep packed so we could take off for the loch the minute he got out of school. He'd fish. I'd read.
There was alway a kind #fisherman along the bank who would give him tips. On the way home we'd stop and buy whatever he'd been told would entice the trout.
Twenty years later and I'm still making new Loch Lomond memories only this time in a #kayak

Whether painting a person or a teapot, the goal is holding the viewer's attention. In this busy world it takes something remarkable to stop us in our tracks. That could be an event, like a surprising diagnosis or the unexpected death of a close friend. These events give us time to pause and reflect. A common vehicle into my psyche is music. This led me to start painting singer-songwriters whose music has impacted me. Look into their eyes. For a moment time stops. Music and memories take over.
